Yet another week (601)

This week in broadcasting was very productive. First off WFMJ is going well as normal. High school football is stressfull at times but fun. The Titan game went well this week. We lost but the production part went very well. I think that game will definitely make it on to my resume tape (aka senior project).

Coach's Corner today was soooooooo good. It was definitely the best show we have done this far. That is also a definite on my tape. Now we can just keep improving so by the end we have an amazingly professional show and keep raising the bar to push each person to get better.

My career goals are still just to find a job right now. Location doesn't matter to me anymore and I'm pretty much open to anything so we'll see how that goes.

For my article I would like to talk about using your computer as a TV. They now have digital TV cards that you put into your computer so you can watch TV in HiDef on your computer screen instead of having to buy a new TV monitor. While the price is slightly cheaper there are many downsides. The amount of hard drive you need to run and store the hours of TV would quickly fill up if you like to watch certain shows every week.

My roommate has the ability to watch and even record cable shows on her computer but it's so time consuming...booting the computer up and making sure the program is running right that I can't image people wanted to do that instead of watching TV the old fashioned way. Maybe that's just me but technology is just going to keep on developing so we'll see if it really works and where it takes us after this.
